Default Will not idle or bad idle

Got a break in MI weather today, had to ride ! Started great, noted after putting a few miles on it that anytime I came to a stop or took my hand off the throttle the bike would stop. Bike is a 2003 Marauder 800, bought used last Oct. Didn't notice this problem until I tried a few cooler weather rides 38° to 50. Read of many Suz riders riding in colder temps than that, and have never noticed these symptoms described. Bike has been jetted and has aftermarket pipes. Still a rookie (less than 1500 miles on a road bike) and not an adequate mechanic to know whats up. Hints, thoughts and suggestions please ? Blippin the throttle, while approaching a stop, especially in traffic is not desireable, could be a safety issue I want to avoid. Checked FAQ prior to posting, saw nothing. . . jim

maybe theres a leak in your vacuum line somewhere. check all your air and fuel lines. i had a similar problem with my suzuki once and found out that the owner i had bought it from had gotten rid of the emissions control system, leaving a bunch of air lines sitting all over the place, one of them was open and i stopped it up with a tight fitting screw.

Thanks for your input Katana, believe my problem is beyond my ability but will give your suggestion to the service guy when I take it in. Appreciate the help. jim

Have a very red face people! Mechanic at the dealership found the problem and proceeded to educate me. Under the seat on the Marauder is a black plastic, large screwdriver adjustable wheel maybe 3/4" in diameter. It's the idle adjustment and this one adjustment does the deal for both carbs. Sure is humbling, but is running great now.
