Default coolant additive

Plan on changing my coolant on my VS 800. The service manual says to add an antileak product at the same time. Asked at several dealers and none of them do it. Is it really needed? Strange that four dealers appeared to be surprised.

Not really. Walk into any dealer and ask them the horsepower and torque specs on any bike. My money says they'll be stumped. Those yahoos rarely even ride. They're often car-dealer dropouts.

Oops. I seem to have gone on a tirade. Sorry about that.

Are you sure you're reading the manual right?? The manual I have for the VZ800 (which has nearly the same motor I believe) specifically says NOT to use any antileak product.
