I've narrowed my bike search down to a Honda 599 or the DR-Z400SM. I just need a smallish city bike. The only problem I have with the Suzuki is some of the bodywork. Can the deflectors on each side of the radiator be removed? Are they there to deflect air to the radiator, or shield legs from radiator? I think the bike would look better without them. They are less noticable in black, which is the one I wanted. Your advice please. Thank you, Pat.

You can remove them...In my opinion it would look ugly without them.
