Default Headlight Trouble!!

My headlight went out on my 03 Gixxer 600. After some probing i figured out it was the wiring that was messed up. I've narrowed it down to the wires in a black casing on the right side of the bike. It has 6 wires in it but I think the one that is messed up are the black with a white stripe and an all white wire. When I wiggle the black connector it comes on but not for long. I've been riding with my high beams at night. Any ideas on what is wrong and how to fix it? Secondly does riding with your high beams for a prolonged period of time mess anything up? Thanx in advance.

This is a known issue with the GSX-R's best bet is to take the connections out of the block, clean them and re connect them, ensureing that all the connections are tight. Put some silicone on the connectors to water proof them. And one more layer i use is about 4 inches of bicycle tube insert placed over the block and cable tied at each end.

There is a water flow hole in the air tubes just where the block is and any water that gets in there pours down on the block.

Jason.

Does the same concern to a 2001 750 having the right side light not work only when high beams are on.
