Default Sending tank out for painting - How to prep?

My wife and I are sending our tanks (as well as fenders and sides) to her cousin, who does a lot of custom painting for cars, motorcycles, guitars, etc.

How do I prepare the tank for shipment?

I know I have to drain it of gas (obvious), but what next? Do I rinse w/ water? What about the potential for rust?

Drain the tank, rinse it out with hot soap and water to get rid of the smell and any gunk in the tank, rinse it with lots of clear water, immediately blow it dry with your wife's hair dryer (Not an air compressor).
