Default Wannabe Mechanics...

Hey, I was out looking around a couple of weeks ago, and came across this site. Its pretty cool, LOTS of good info, most of it is just basic hands on stuff, that you need to know when wrenching. Hopefully this will embolden some of you fencesitters out there to quite giving money to the stealer, and start fixing your own bikes. Its such fun. Anyway, hope this helps somebody. Later

Completely awesome site; much appreciated. Maybe that means I won't have to post maintenance questions as often now?

It's great once you learn to navigate around all the "Jesus Talk".

I have nothing against religion but this guy really goes all out with it. Expect to see the words "Jesus" and "carburator" used side by side in the site!

Point in case, the Shop Manual section describes the Bible as the ultimate shop manual, the shop manual for Life (I still need to figure out where to get OEM parts...):

Hah.. yeah.. I read some of that on the site. I thought Jesus was some sort of carpenter, not a mechanic!

I don't know much about him, but the kids seem to like him fairly well.

But Jesus (pronounced Hay-soos) is a mechanic.

Thanks for the info I have an 83 GS650L and love the bike, I'am always looking for on line help so I can fix the bike up correctly. So far nothing major has gone wrong with the bike but I want to be prepared for when it does so I can fix it and get it back out on the road as soon as possible.

Thanks for the link, good info. I have worked on cars for years so I am looking forward to getting an old bike I can screw around with once I can afford it.
