Default Gunk on muffler

My boss came in on his new hog that he built. When getting off the new bike he burnt his leg on the muffler. The question how to remove the burnt pants off of the chrome muffler?

WD-40 will usually get off any gunk on the muffler. If that doesn;t work, get some oven cleaner, but make sure it says "safe for chrome".

I just bought some Simichrome (sp?) for my pipes. I can't speak to burnt denim, but it sure removes rusty spots pretty darn well.

Semi-chrome is one of the best polishes I have ever tried.
I melted some rain gear on my pipes, and it was so thick nothing would take it off, and I did not have any oven cleaner. A week or so later I got caught in a bad rain storm, and the cold rain hitting the hot pipe at 75 MPH did the trick: by the time I got home the pipe looked like new.
