|  Bandit won't run smooth - any ideas?
Hi all, I'm new here, but I hope someone can help with this please: I've got an old shape 600 Bandit, which is stuttering and jerking at low / steady speeds. If you try and hold it at 30, or 40 or whatever, it stutters like an extreme version of when you need to switch to reserve - it seems to repeatedly cut then surge briefly. It's not as bad under acceleration or if you hold it at much higher engine speeds, but I you can still feel it as quite a strong low-frequency vibration. It also does it on a closed throttle when slowing down, and it stops when you pull the clutch in. There is fuel in the tank, and the chain is correctly adjusted and lubed, with no tight spots. I've not had it long, and other than that I'm not too mechanically familiar, so I wonder if someone has come across this before or can make a few suggestions? Thanks for any ideas, Grahame. |
