Default 99 600 clutch wire to lever help

forgive me on my lack of terms if i mess this up but hopefully it will come across ok...

the grey/silver wire for the clutch does not have enough slack to reach around and slip in2 the clutch 'lever' correctly.( the thing u squeeze with ur hand to shift gears)

my ? is i need about an extra 1/2 inch mebe a lil less/more for it to fit properly..how do i go about doing this..ive tried pulling to get some extra slack but there is no give..

how can i fix this..go2 the foot clutch?? i dont know..this problem seems like it coulda bin fixed by the tim ei wrote this so a little help would b appreciated

this is the last thing i need to finish b4 i can get this back on the road..its a rebuild of 99 600 already put 01 engine..brain..radiator in it everything is good bsides this

First off, you have to back off the adjuster all the way, then install the cable. I think you'll need to use the cable for the 01 modle, not the 99, I'm not 100% positive on that though. Good luck with that.

thanks man for the quick response..i thought i might of needed a 01 wire but wasnt sure..ill try what u mentioned and c how that goes..impickin up spark plugs from suzuki dealer now/today so if things fail here ill ask them there as well
