Default Vacuum Leak?

i have a 03 Suzuki Katana and just now starting riding it. it was bought brand new in 03 and i took it to get a tune up it everything was great..until you ride it for a bit and as the engine warms up the idle goes higher and higher untill it just doesnt return at all (sits at about 5,000rpm) ive asked around the place that did the tune up tells me its the spark plugs..but other people have said i simply need to find the vacuum hose and make sure its tight..i was going to try this..but i have no idea where that is!! plz help

The problem is not the plugs but if the shop that did the "tuneup" says its the plugs have them replace them under warranty. If the bike ran fine before they worked on it I would bet that something happened to a vacuum hose while the plugs were being replaced.

OK I'm not sure what bike you are talking about as the last Katana out here was about an 86 model.

I assume you are talking about a gsx750F or similar,

If it has carbies the only vacuum line I can think of is the one to the fuel tap, from the top of one of the carbies.

Are you sure you idle is just not set too high? They do chase themselves high, with only a little bit extra.
