| Hello all! I am a newbie to the forum, so bear with me... I have an M50 and need some help with ordering a riser for it. I am 5'5" and have no trouble with the seat height, but the handle bars are just a little too far away from me. My service guys have checked catalogs and so far have come up empty handed on which one would work. Anyone out there done this and can share product info?

| Do a search of the forum for riser. Two measurements are required additional height, amount forward. A drastic change means changes in the cable run, a few inches is fine. Some here have loosened the bars and shifted the bars forward. Not all have same arm length. A friend and a tape measure will help. Good luck |

Unfortunately, the best solution for right now is in blackie's post: Moving the handle bars back to accomodate you. When you have some free time...take a look at the riser/bar combo on your bike. You will see that it is no easy deal to just replace them. I've pasted in an earlier post from a couple of months ago that should give you an idea of what is available to fix this problem. I like you, am open and willing for any alternative suggestions, but for now the following seems to be the only options. Quote:

| Thanks for your help on this one... I will shift the bars and see how it feels. I can deal with it as it is, but I know that if the bars were a tad closer to me, I would enjoy the ride even more... And isn't that what it's all about?!?!?!?! Last edited by myM50_Maddux; 08-07-2005 at 12:25 PM. |
