I'm not totally sure there's still anyone left around the forum that ended up with a solved solution...........last I remember there were members that were sending them back for replacements but never posted whether it worked out for the better in the end or if they went with something completely different.

EDIT........here's a thread that might help........it looks as though the problems solved!

Hay Mav,

Sorry to bother, but there was no link to the thread that you mentioned.

Also, in this thread, it looked as if the very last replacements were holding up, but then the thread just ended before anyone actually verifying if that was the case.

Seemed almost strange, in a way........

I suppose I could contact Clear Alternatives and ask them.

I've had the clear lenses on since last September and am using the amber bulbs they came with. I haven't had any problems. IIRC this problem was fixed.

Thanks for the update, I would have to say that it looks like it is solved as well.

Hay SNAFU, how bright are the plain amber bulbs in the clear lenses?
Are they noticably brighter than stock amber lenses with clear bulbs?

I had heard that they were considerably brighter than stock, and that is what I trying to achieve.

You know I'm not sure regarding how much more "bright" they are but are just as visible as the stock, but I never really did examine closely.

They do however look cool and compliment the clear taillight.

Here's a pic. of my clear lenses from the M50 and my Bros. stock M109 lenses. I will examine more closely the next time I get a chance.
