Default Suspension adjustment Seat?

I was wondering what setting most are using on the suspension 1-7, factory setting is 3, I adjusted mine today to 4 and it changed the ride quite a bit, but for the better even seat felt different, I'm 6' 1" 200 lbs. the bike just seemed to ride so much better it's great. What are your thoughts?

went to a 5, and while it handled great there's just too many potholes/uneven roads in socal that were jolting me straight up off the seat, which is downright scary on a bike this big (to me anyways) so I backed it down to 4 and it's just about right. I prefer the 5 though for handling...guess i'm too light at 170 lbs...

With the 3" drop on mine, I set it at the recommended 5. Feels good, though I haven't hit any major bumps as of yet.

Currently set at 1. Might move it back up if my wife rides more often with me.

We seem to have settings from 1 to 6. A large spread. Maybe those who have changed the settings can add their height and weight, the rest of of us can learn. Meanwhile I will check my setting.
Thanks
Bob

I kept the stock 3 setting. It's comfortable enough and I'm 6' even at 220 lbs.

5' 9" 170 I lowered mine 2-1/2" and they recommended going up one notch. But it feels good where it was stock. Which I believe is 3. Never looked to see where it was actually set.

i changed mine to 1 about 2 weeks after getting it. was way to stiff of a ride for me. im 6-1, 145 so dont need any real support for anything. i am intrigued by the stiffer suspension helping handling though. how much of a difference does it really make for day to day driving?

I noticed that just moving from 3 to 4 the handling seemed better at least for me I'm 6'1" 200 lbs. I ride highway and back roads some of the same rough spots seemed better with the new setting.

I was actually having a problem with my bike when I first got it. I was getting weird vibrations at precisely 52 mph. I wouldn't even have to look at the speedo to know how fast I was going. So I started fiddling with the shock to see if that would help out.

I took the side cover off. Made an adjustment. Went for a test ride (with the guts exposed), and adjust again when I got back.

For one...it took away a lot of the bikes tendency to push in a corner (understeer). It started cornering better, and holding it's line better. I've found it requires less effort to initiate a turn. Sometimes it's a little choppy on some of the rougher roads, but not too bad. Best thing to do is experiment with what you like. My only problem I experience is if you go up Fletcher, get on I-75 South, then get right off on the Fowler exit. There is an expansion joint in the pavement there. I guess it's pretty big, because that actually shifts me in the seat, but that is the only trouble spot I've run into.

Due to more "riding," less blinging?

I'm 5'7" and 165. The stock setting seemed a bit mushy to me, but then I'm used to race suspension in cars. I never changed it from factory 3 until I lowered it, so I really can't provide insight on the difference.

The only stress I get is watching somebody and all his bling.
We will have good weather late morning. No clouds for a week.
How about the great state of O.J., is the sun coming out.

Didn't rain today in my area, but had to take the truck to work. AND ... going out of town tomorrow ... sheesh ... maybe Sunday I'll ride!
