| Newbie | I have been strongly considering the Blue M50 for about 2 months now. My wife has one request that I get something that is comfortable for her when riding with me. The M50 in my local dealer doesn't have a passenger seat. Did you all have to buy the passenger seat separately or did it come with the bike? Also is it comfortable for long rides. Zukidude, I like your passenger setup and I am wondering how your wife likes it. Does she go on long rides with you (2 or more hours)? Is there an aftermarket passenger seat or do I have to buy from Suzuki? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. |

| Sprocket Pilot ![]() | The seat should be there from the dealer floor....I guess they took theirs off to show what it would look like. I think the M50 looks great with the passenger "seat" gone, but wifey rides with me occasionally. The only thing I would change on mine is a small passenger backrest for her. Just a piece of mind that she won't tumble off the back should I have to blip the throttle to avoid a crash, etc....

| im actually one of the ppl who lies my M with the rear set ON and i am one of the few (it seems) that doesnt have anyone riding with ever. go figure! if i had to ride 2 up a lot though, i would get a backrest. my best friend is married and they used to ride without a backrest, but he said it is a world of difference (in a good way) once he got the backrest for her. he says it is easier to ride and control without her wrapped around him. . |

| dude don't take this the wrong way but it depends on how big you and your wife are.the bike has a G.V.W of about 970 lbs the bike its self is about 550lbs.so if you and your wife don't weigh more than 420lbs together it will be fine weight wise.my wife finds the back seat just fine.i am going to put on a back rest for her and a set of floorboards for her, that will make it more than comfortable for her.by the way i love the bike.hope this helps.

| In Training ![]() | I put on the short back rest (Suzuki's) and like the way it makes the rear end of the bike look...I ride my wife, but she says she'd like a wider seat for longer cruises, but she loves the "sissy" bar. The passenger seat is a bout half her butt size..lol. My only complaint is that even though she's only 5'4" she sits quite a bit higher than me and it's a bit unnerving as far as the handling goes...just takes some getting used to I guess. Luckily she's not "of large stature", if you get me drift...Also makes a nice post to wrap a knapsack with a Bungee until I find some saddlebags I like....even with break in riding technique the bike has plenty of power for two up though, and still handles really well.....

I have taken the sissybar off because I like the look of the bike without it. It's relatively simple to install, so when my wife or son go with me (extreeeemely rare) I'll put it back on for the ride. BeatKat, maybe you're slogan should be, "It's not WHAT you ride ... It's WHO your ride."

| Newbie | My wife and I weez litl peepl. Im 5'5" hunerd thirty eight lbs and the wife is 5'0" hunerd ...... (I wont go there but less than me for sure) No offense taken "Chrome". The bike will be plenti powerful for us we're just concerned about comfort for her. The dealer says it does come with the rear seat (wifey's stacked out back so I guess she already has all the cushion she needz |

| In Training ![]() | I always felt the rear fender was too long and the sissy bar brings it into proportion for me...I paid 10% off list...(Expensive!!), but the quality is very high. Dealer parts.....exclusively I believe...

| I just installed the Suzuki OEM low backrest purchased from oneida suzuki for $100 less than list. Dealer was only giving 10 % off. After reading some of the horror stories about the installation, I was a bit skeptical. 30 minutes later I was out riding with the backrest installed. No problems at all. Just curious as to why the original bolts use Loctite and the longer bolts that come with the mounting kit don't. They don't mention using it in the instructions.

| My wife complains about the back seat, she thinks its too hard for long rides. Shes 5'0'' and 120lbs. I put a sissy bar (short) on, the Marauder/ Volusia model, and she says that helps. She also doesn't like the fact that she can't see over me, I'm 5'7'', so she has to look to the side all the time.

| I sat on the backseat and agree it is a bit hard and small especially on a longer ride. The wife however does like being able to sit more upright with the backrest and I like the fact that she doesn't have to lean so far forward anymore.

| Ditto above.......had it in less than a week....the fender mounting brackets are also etched with the "Boulevard" logo....looks sharp.....just be sure you read their return policy, (I didn't), NO returns what so ever on helmets and apparel...I ordered 2 "Boulevard" 1/2 helmets and 1 is too big....Looks like I'm stuck with it...oh well...
