you i remember you telling me about those, i wasnt sure about mounting and wiring work though.

iave always wanted to do SOMETHING with the stock ones and thought clear would be great...so i'll do this for now. small and tucked up closer sounds great though.

if you would have taken me up on offers to go riding, i would have seen them in person!

.

Ouch! That hurts!

I put these on the other night.

Took it out for a test ride. And I can't get the damn things adjusted for anything! Can't see crap out of 'em. They barely clear my hands on the grips.

They look cool as hell though! They keep the lines of the rear fender in perspective.

theres a story behind the logos: original tank was scratched in shipping, so they had to backorder one for me. when it came in, it didnt have logos on it. they tried to take old ones off but they didnt have good 2 sided tape like factory stuff. so they ordered that for me too. but i like it as is...ppl think it is a custom bike!

nice mirrors 8....look vaguely familiar...hmmm :-/

i have a problem with them staying in place, but i can see fine out of them...you need to adjust the actual bolt that hold it to the handlebars to be higher, then put mirror one and adjust the nut at the bottom so that when the mirror is tight, they are in the right place.

i just need to get some thread tape to make the left one stay put

Good replies here!

Just to set the record straight ... yes, I removed my front and rear side reflectors (yeah, yeah, yeah, what about safety or being seen, blah, blah, blah) ... trust me, if a mutha-trucka or rager-cager can't see the freakin' bike at night, I don't see how the little tiny reflectors are really going to make a freakin' bit of difference. And if they can't tell the difference between front and rear but by only the color of the red and amber, then they shouldn't be on the road anyway!!

I'm glad some of you are doing the fender eliminator ... makes me feel like a proud Papa . Just think of it; some company is probably developing one right now ... think of the money I saved you !

And yes, my emblems are still on. I like the Boulevard emblem, although I do like the pics shown here with out it. I'm leaving mine on for now.

And finally, while I too like the little silver bullet lights, I still like the OEM lights with the clear lens choice better ... again, for now .

LOL...I hadn't seen your new pics with the mirrors until after I posted that one. Too funny. IF we do get a chance to ride together...can't park next to each other!!

I have a problem with the left one also. It vibrates an ungodly amount. I came to the same solution (though haven't applied it yet) about adjusting height with the bolts. I might check at Home Depot for a nut that is similiar to the one that is on the stock mirrors. Something else I'm going to look at is if I can remove the actual mirror from the stock stalk, and vice versa with the Ness, then see if I can install it on the stock stem.

Default k, some pix

I did my own custom fender elimination, really just took off that metal piece and the reflectors, looks a lot cleaner now. I left the rectangular reflector piece on 'cause I want to do something with that space, hmm, led. I also put a billet license plate frame with stilleto bolts onto my M50. Here's some pics, sorry about the lack of light.

I just happened on this thread by accident while searching for fender ideas. It's so cool it deserves a bump! Took about 30 minutes.

Another easy option is to loosen the license plate light, move the tag up, and re tighten the light. It takes about five five minutes. Removing the side reflectors is optional.

Here in Georgia no part of the tag may be obstructed by foreign objects so as to conceal any numeral, letter, marking, blah blah blah. It says "Georgia" at the top of the tags and would probably be obstructed by that installation. Technically, the metal frame I have around mine is illegal because it covers the top half of "Georgia".

You are right, it does obscure the plate; but even less than a license plate frame does.

You can still see the words New Jersey, I just covered it while obscuring my license number. We got the same law here, but I passed inspection twice.

fargo, I lived in Minot for five years back in the late 80's. My dad flew B-52's and was stationed at Minot AFB. I bet it's starting to get pretty chilly there bout now, huh? 73 degrees and an hour long ride this afternoon down here in Georgia!

2 things:

1) im sorry to hear you lived in minot. my gf lives there. the town sucks. lol

2) go to hell! its 40 here and i have a broken leg!

i'd like to live somewhere warmer but i think i'd miss the snow. maybe not tho... but i dont know where i'd go. just somewhere i could ride year round it'd be nice to get a snowmobile but i dont have the money or time for that.
