The only song that works for me is Red Barchetta by Rush.

So with that in mind....I love pissing off my cousin who rides with me and just before we take off I'll mention a song that is completely inappropriate for riding....like for instance anything by Michael Jackson or Britney Spears. So picture it.....couple of tough Bikers cruising along and my cousin is humming "Billie Jean" inside his head because with the powers of suggestion I've got him thinking about it. *LMAO - He hates that.
It's even funnier if the song is more stupid...like the Fruit Loops commercial theme song or somthing just as ridiculous. Thank Gawd he's family or he'd kick my @ss! ....or try to anyways.

i always and will forever have "long way round" by the stereophonics..

it's always song #1 in either my ipod or gps whenver i take a ride. it sets the mood.
if i don't have music, it's playing in my head anyhow

that series got me into riding... heh.

Ok I may end up losing my mancard on this one, but today I was driving around the downtown Springfield MA area and the fast starts, stops, weaving around traffic, dodging gunfire, all I could think was the Miami Vice theme song in my head.

I don't listen to tunes while riding, but I certainly do during the pre-ride prep in the garage.

(In no particular order)
1) Miserlou - Dick Dale (or the remix Pump It - Black Eyed Peas. They use Miserlou as the main rhythm)
2) Red Barchetta - Rush
3) Ghost Rider - Rush
4) Countdown - Rush
5) Xanadu - Rush
6) Freewill - Rush
7) Camera Eye - Rush
Natural Science - Rush
9) Between The Wheels - Rush
10) One Little Victory -Rush
11) La Villa Strangiato - Rush
12) Witchhunt - Rush
13) Mannish Boy - Muddy Waters
14) It's A Long Way To Top If You Want To Rock & Roll - AC/DC
15) The Trooper - Iron Maiden
16) The Four Horsemen - Metallica
17) Blitzkrieg - Metallica
1 Hurricane Fighter Plane - Alien Sex Fiend
19) I Walk The Line - Alien Sex Fiend
20) Dead & Buried - Alien Sex Fiend
21) Fortunate Son - Creedence Clearwater Revival
22) Run Through The Jungle - Creedence Clearwater Revival
23) Two Tribes - Frankie Goes To Hollywood
24) One Tree Hill - U2
25) Dogs - Pink Floyd
26) Echoes - Pink Floyd
27) One Of These Days - Pink Floyd
2 Time - Pink Floyd
29) Love Bites - Judas Priest
30) You've Got Another Thing Comin' - Judas Priest

I figure I can stop there even though there are many others that get my motor runnin' (to paraphrase yet another great riding song).

Edit: I had to add a couple more (I can't believe I missed them during the first take):

Anvil of Crom / Riddle of Steel / Riders of Doom - Conan The Barbarian Soundtrack (music that plays during the opening credits and when Conan's village is being raided by Thulsa Doom)
La Grange - ZZ Top
Waitin' For The Bus / Jesus Just Left Chicago - ZZ Top
Party On The Patio - ZZ Top
Kodo (Inside The Sun Remix) - Yoshida Brothers (better known as the music in the first Wii commercials)
Here We Go/Let's Rock & Roll - C+C Music Factory

Here I go again - Whitesnake
Moto Psycho - Megadeth
Cocky - Kid Rock

BTW - Hair of the dog was done by Nazareth, not guns n roses. Off by a little bit.

Guns and Roses did a cover of that song but yes, Nazareth did the original. I have both versions on my Sansa Fuze MP3 player. It seems GnR did a lot of covers, that being just one.

Most of the ones already mentioned, especially AC/DC and Metallica, but I will add:

1. "Indestructible" - Disturbed
2. "Killing in the name" - RATM
3. "Even Flow" - Pearl Jam
