|  Guys, I Messed Up!
So I bought the Vance & Hines Fuelpak for an '08, and I have an '09(assuming there was nothing different between the two). While I was installing it, I found that the wiring harness connectors were different. I said to myself "Don't panic, we can still use this". So I spliced the wires to the best of my knowledge...OOPS! When I started it up, it didn't want to stay on. After several attempts to correct the issue, too many things were still going wrong and nothing was working. So I spliced back the original connectors. Now the bike is running on only one injector, it can't idle, and the "FI" light is on. I called the dealer and confessed, so I'm bringing in the bike tomorrow. Does anybody have a '09 out there, that can shed some light. And not just on this issue either, but on any mods you've done on your M50.     |
