Had to come home to the Cleveland area from Toledo today. Some serious storm action was in effect but I wasn't going to be deterred. Three hours on the highway. My person and gear remained dry...and my GPS really is waterproof too. Good gear is worth every penny. Painful at the initial outlay of hundred dollar bills but soooooo worth it when really called upon to perform. Only had one 'pucker' moment. About half hour into the ride I was half-blinded by a flash that looked like it was 5 feet away from me. There was virtually no delay between it and the thunderclap. Had to be a little air between me and the seat at that moment. Just scared the devil out of me. |
