Default Jolting of the spine from the suspension or seat?

Adjusted my suspension from factory standard of "3" to "1" - supposedly the softest setting. Still seems pretty stiff to me...I realize it is a "sport cruiser" so I'm not expecting a plush ride. But I can't imagine cranking it up to "7." I'm about 160lbs.

Also had the stock seat shaved down about 1" maybe a little more and gel inserts added. Probably should have waited and driven stock a little longer, but the seat is now very low slung and comfy. I could flat foot before, but now I'm even more stable.

The issue is all those little "unseen" bumps in the road that act like moguls on a ski slope. They give me quite a jolt in the spine - right up through my neck...sometimes even to the point that I feel my helmet rise off my head ever so slightly and then smash down on it...which gives my spine a jolt in the opposite direction....That can't be good for me long term.

So I'm wondering...

How much should I expect the suspension to absorb and how much should the seat absorb?
