|  oil color...normal?
Just wondering what everyone experiences with these bikes in respect to oil color after a few hundred miles? At just under 5500 miles I purchased the bike and changed the oil to mobil 1 10w40 motorcycle specific. Previous owner said last change was done at 600 mile service. I usually like it sooner but hey it was his bike then. Anyway, now currently at just under 5900 and the oil is dark in color in the sight glass. Level is as it was at the time of fill so consumption is not an issue but I'm not sure as to how 'normal' this quick a color change is. Previous oil came out dark..but good typical used uncontaminated appearing oil. Now this newer oil though dark..seems ok and in no way contaminated just dark. Normal? |
