Best thing I did so far. I didn't have the 1.5 for the inside though. I used a cutting torch, it was way easier and quicker. I just used wood in the hole in the middle for the drill bit that stabilized it while I did the 3 inch whole. End result is awesome! I just got done riding all over my town, and didn't want to get off yet. It's hard to believe how big of a difference a little cutting will do. Thanks for everyone's advice. Let me know how cutting out those Mickey Plates goes if you do it Irish.

Did you unhook your battery before your de-baffle? You can still do this as this will give the ECM a chance to adjust the air/fuel mixture after you have increased the exhaust flow with the de-baffle. It may not solve your backfiring, but hey you never know...

Actually, no I don't think I have. I use a battery tender during the winter, so I can't actually think of the last time I had the battery disconnected. Do I need to leave it disconnected for a certain period of time? I'll give it a try, it certainly can't hurt anything. Thanks!

just unhook it, wait 10 seconds (why not...) and reconnect. The stock processor isn't as adjustable as a power commander, but it will adapt to small changes to the exhaust, but not to the intake.
