First off from PA.

Second: I also have an EXO-700 and love it. I move my shield up & down all the time and never had it pop off. Sounds like a defect or it's not properly setted.

It shouldn't pop out. Maybe make sure the visor is "Clicking" into place when you put them on. Does the quick release mechanism spring back when you turn it in the direction of the arrows?

If not than maybe it is faulty.

If I remember correctly, the visor has to be in the up position when putting them in. Turn the levers and they should just click in and then release so that it spins back.

Welcome from Oregon, ride safe, definitely get through the msf course. Mine has saved my life a couple of times. Ride like a pro is a great series as well, though the last one kinda covers it all. Be safe! Oh, mines a 05 M50 metalic blue with 11500+ miles.
