Judging by this Forum, it will a week after it's release with a "seatectomy" mod

That is brutal! I saw the thread and was looking forward to some cool upgrades. I like the black tires. That is all.

I don't like the look, but I do agree with those who will appreciate our generation more. Will I purchase another M50, odds are, no. But that doesn't mean I don't love the one I have.

I will say this, to all of those people who like the looks of our bike, time's a ticking. The remaining 09's will be on the road soon.

I do like these pics better. I think it needs some restyled exhaust, a side mount plate, get rid of the stock rear turns and put some leds on the edge of the fender (a la HD or Victory, can't remember). Go back to black rims and get rid of that terrible headlight cowl.

I dunno, i like it, but it kinda reminds me of people that buy base model cars, and slap all the top of the line models parts on it to make it look like something its not. Like a rustang with SVT Cobra emblems, body parts and wheels, but still goes 0-60 in 12 minutes... I like the M50 in its sleek and modern meets classy and vintage current styling. If its gonna look like an M109R, it should bring the balls with to back it up.

I have to agree with you on that one. Reviewers of the original M50 lamented that it was a real shame the bike did not have the power to back up its muscular looks. Now the looks are even more muscular, and the bike probably a touch heavier, but the power is unchanged.
There is room in the lineup for something inbetween the 800cc M50 and the 1500cc M90, so something in the 1100-1200cc range would be nice: a M50 with about 50% more HP would be a bike I might be interested in to replace my aging Intruder 800. But in this economy I don't know that a new cruiser model will be forthcoming.

I really like the looks of the 2010 M50 with the rear seat cowl installed. I am not in the market for a new bike but this is one I would consider.

I test rode an M90 last week. I am sure it doesn't have the same power as the 109, but it moves very good. Someone says that bike looks like crap, you can leave them in the dust. On the new M50, you'll be looking in the mirrors to see if they are still with you

I love the looks of it but if they really wanted to make it better, they would have got rid of the mile-long pipes and put twin discs on the front and a disc on the rear. A little more power would have been nice too. I'm sure all that new plastic is gonna raise the price a bit too.

Okay, look at just the back end. Cover up the front with your hand... and tell me the new back doesn't kind of remind you just a little, of a scooter.

even if you like the looks of the new M50... it's a shame that ALL the bikes are starting to look the same.

I liked the original M for it's original styling... i don't want it confused with another bike...
i LIKE it when people say "never seen a bike like that" when they themselves are bikers

They did, it's called the M90.
