Got it today, however won't be installing it anytime soon...+100F this weekend, so until the temperature cools down a bit, there will be no "hard labor" for me!

Thanks... I may knock one out myself as I have some spare sheetmetal leftover from a previous fender eliminator I did for my SV... It's always nicer and easier to buy one off a real fabricator tho!

I'll keep my eyes out for your future projects.

First of all thanks again on the custom piece. Real good job. Fit 95% accurate which is pretty darn good on a hand cut piece. I almost didn't even need to grind the side nut retainer but ended up having to just shave the right side one down a hair to fit.

Good tight fit. All four fasteners used. Super sturdy now.

I've never been totally happy with the rear end until now. Now it looks finished and it closes the gap from the rear fender to the rear tire. Makes my 2-1/2" rear drop look better.

I would recommend anybody else on the forum to get this piece if DK is still in the mood. Unless you do custom sheet metal work and have all the tools your not going to be able to make this piece this good on your own.

No problem. Took only about 30 minutes. I already had the rear taillight assy. off and ready to go.

Don't know what to tell you about your brother. But he must be one cool dude!

Am I correct in assuming once this mod is made, the stock signals are useless??

HOLEE GEEZ....I'm off the site for a couple of days and missed a great deal !

Count me in for an order if you're planning on making up a couple more.

Ironic since I've been looking to clean up the back end as my next project and it looks like you've come up with the perfect accessory to make it look professional. Nice job Dark Knight !

Yes & No. Yes you would have to cut them off and they'd be useless. No if you decided to reuse them and mount them to the side of the rear fender.

Most who have done this mod have the intregrated LED rear taillight. Some however still have the orginal taillight and have added some sort of aftermarket rear turn signals.

It's all in what you decide to do!

OK, so I couldn't wait. Put on my cooling vest & went to work. Looks much better, just need to clean up the mess I made & buff out some scratches.
