Default Debaffle gone wrong

Looking for some help determining if my bike is still safe to ride after a cutting error in debaffling my stock pipes. I cut around the baffle safely with a 1 1/2" hole saw bit, but when cutting the larger 3 1/4" hole, I angled wrong and cut through the top of the pipe. This exposed the fiberglass layer inside the pipe. I was not able to remove the plate as it was still connected to the pipe near the top where I broke through(need to try again tomorrow as the drill was too hot to continue). If I am able to pull the plate off and pull the baffle out, will the exposed fiberglass (if that is in fact what it is) pose a hazard when riding the bike.
I am trying to avoid buying new pipes, but if I must purchase new pipes, I guess my next question is what are some recommendations for replacement pipes that are not going to break my budget. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
