Ok, I wanted to throw this out to the masses before I tore the bike apart again. First, I realize I'm going to have to disassemble the fender/subframe again. So the back story...I bought a new rear fender because my old one was chipped. Pulled off the old fender and removed the tail light assembly/subframe and put them in the new fender. It seemed, at the time, the only thing holding the subframe to the fender were the four fender bolts. This made it a little tricky to get it back on, but two of us were working on it so it wasn't bad. We got everything put back together and I've been on a couple of rides since. This past weekend I had my bike in my mother's garage to change the oil, as I'm waiting for the oil to drain I was checking out the bike and noticed the tail light assembly was hanging low and there was about a 1" gap between the tail light assembly and the fender. I am able to push the assembly back up and flush with the fender, but I can just as easily move it back down away from the fender, to the point where my lisence plate will hit my rear wheel. So please tell me, what in heck did I miss when I was reassembling the darn fender? I'm sure its going to be something simple, but I'll take the punishment for my stupidity. Thanks for the help.
