You have to watch out for those. Most of those kinda sales that are too good to be true want you to pay into a false escrow acct and you never see your money again

First I've heard of that. I bought my 08 M50 on ebay from a dealer in Minnesota for $5995.00.. I could not touch one here (St. Louis) for under $7200. It came in with 0 Miles on it. I had my bank go directly throught the dealer...

I just recently pursued an 06 Goldwing (for immediate resale of course) going for $4,200. Its a $14,000 bike.

A buddy of mine was pursuing an 07 F350 for like $12,000 its a $30,000 truck

These are 2 instances of this scam I have come across this month so I'm a little weary if i can't see it in person and do a simultaneous swap of funds and merchandise.

I hear ya Rocky... I wouldn't buy a used bike/car on ebay unless the seller was somewhere close that I could see it/ride it... good luck with the shopping rocky.

Nice bike estes; however, I am looking into my crystal ball and I foresee a debaffle/DJ fibrosleeve in your not-so-distant future...

No debaffling.... Will wait for some custom exhaust. But that will be way down the line. The wife was not so thrilled since I traded in a 08 with 2,800 miles on it. She ok'd it just because of the 5 yr. warranty.
Thanks Pinhead! Get to ride it again tomorrow.

So I found yet another Vegas. 03 with stage 1 and 2 kits done. I can see myself investing in the big bore kit down the road so maybe buying a bike that already has it would be worth my while. The kicker though is it only has 2k miles. Why don’t people ride their bikes, this thing has like just been broke in? Anyway he will take $8k. Whatcha think, I figure the bike was $16k new and has about $3k in after market. So it’s like $11k off for a broke in bike. I don’t mind sloppy seconds…

if you can look at it go for it. or call in a second party apraiser to get an opinion. i had a guy at work just buy a camaro that was on the other side of the country. i paid an appraiser to go check it out. he had that guy check out a couple cars actually and help him narrow it down.

Don't ask me Rocky. I, like you, look at mileage first. 2K is nothing... But it is over 5 years old. Can't really look at the blue book because they don't chart it by mileage. Figure $1,000 for some awsome pipes in the Victory catalog. have them do it and they remap it for you. Don't know why you would need any other performance features because it already comes with it. There are not too many bikes out there with over 100C.I. engines... I know yours is 92c.i. but that is plenty.. trust me... take a ride on one.

Estes, I just want you to know I blame you. I was happy in here on my M until you brought that beautiful Vic along.

Thanks for the advice. I got one that had the big bore kit installed increasing the cylinders from 92ci to 100ci. The bike runs like a dream. The place I picked it up from was 260 miles away so had plenty of time to get acquainted with her on the ride home and I have to say I'm lovin it. The most impressive thing is aside from wind noise what the M feels like at 65 this feels like at 90.

Yup, an older one (2003) with 2k miles

I rode it over 260 miles to get it home. I bet the dude i bought it from had never seen a ride like that in his life. I don't understand why people don't ride their bikes

Way to go Rocky.... Havent been on here in awhile... Well I have some news also..... I did it. I know I've said over a few times that I will not get new exhaust for a year or two due to my wife killing me over it... Well I purchased a set of Slash Ness pipes.. they are nasty looking... and even nastier sounding.. I am getting my 500 mile tune-up tomorrow and I took the pipes down today. My wife has no idea... well YET! I am telling here that they are taking out the baffles on the stock pipes... these look so different but she would not notice that... lets see what she says when she hears me pulling into the garage.. i will post pics next week. hope to get it back saturday evening.

LOL way to go I want a set of those too. I have seen them selling used on ebay for around $350 so i think I'm going to try to snag one of those. unfortunately no 6th gear on the 03 but I'm good in 4th till about 55 then i shift to 5th. and may i say SOOOO MUCH POWER IN 3RD AT 70MPH. I think i may have cut the tire loose and laid a little black strip!

I just found out the rims I have arnt stock. They are a $2k Ness upgrade
