Default Mustang Vintage Wide Seat

Hey all, finally received my new Mustang vintage wide seat for the M50. I ordered it through eBay from the seller gm-cycles. I chose them as they were only 1 state away. The deal was 399.99 and free shipping. Optional insurance was less than $5.00 so I went ahead and purchased insurance which turned out to be a good thing.

I placed my order on Oct 2nd, there was a slight delay in shipping and the original seat was supposed to ship on oct 7th. I got a tracking # and checked tracking a couple days later and it still said "Billing Information Received". I emailed GM cycles and they said they shipped the seat and they would have UPS put a trace on the package. A couple of days later I still hadn't heard anything, so I emailed again asking this time either to send another seat or cancel my order so I could get one elsewhere. Well since I had insurance, they shipped another seat and I had it the next day.

I've been busy lately, but I was home when the UPS man arrived and immediatley installed the seat. No instructions came, but it is pretty strait forward for the install. Build quality is out of this world and so is the materials fit and finish. Best of all - NO LUMP!!! I really liked the look of the Daytrippers better, but I wanted a nice touring seat and all day comfort, so looks didn't win this contest.

The seat fits the bike well and blends better than I thought. At first sit, I felt a little bit higher, but not much, and I'm sure as the seat breaks in, it will lower a little bit also. Lots of support at the tail bone and lower back area thanks to the design of the passenger seat and the deep pocket of the drivers seat. A quick ride revealed the same, lots of support and you don't feel the "harshness" of the road as much

I'll report back as I get more miles on this thing. Unfortunetely, my riding season is winding down for the year
