Default Question for those who debaffled and/or fibrosleeved

I am thinking about debaffling and fibrosleeving my pipes. In all the threads I have read about this subject, no-one has ever removed the muffler from the pipe. I was looking at the parts blowup here :

2007 Suzuki Motorcycle Parts for VZ800, OEM and Aftermarket at BikeBandit.com

and it looks like it would be possible to separate just the mufflers to work on them. So how come nobody ever does this? Is it real hard to remove the mufflers? It seems like it would make debaffling/demickeying much easier and also make it easier to install some kind of retainer for the fibrosleeves.

Also I am looking to get my hands on a set of stock pipes CHEAP to mess around with. It's ok if they are stock or debaffled, as long as they are in perfect shape outside. I'm looking to spend around $50. I will pay for shipping.
