Default Pulled the trigger on the PC III + LCD!!!!

Guys,

Pulled the trigger on the PCIII and LCD-100!! Should see it as early as Thursday or Friday! excited to get it installed. don't now if i will see any big gains since all i have right now is a stock KN filter and no pipes yet.

Does anyone have a map for a bike set up with stock kn filter and stock pipes? or something really close.

Hoping for pipes this xmas or maybe a intake.

I will post pics as soon as i can of the install.

I don't get it.. seems like a waste of money to me. It's not hard to connect a laptop to it.

The LCD can store maps, and can be changed on the fly for testing as you ride.
Not easy to do with a laptop, also gives the M50, the missing RPM gauge

never knew there was an lcd for it. hmmm haven't needed to change my map yet though. still need pipes and the intake first, so can't justify the extra spending for lcd

I ran the LCD screen briefly (maybe 1000 miles or so) and hated it. It's very difficult to read in bright sunshine (you know, those really nice days when you want to ride), and no matter how I mounted it, it looked like it was an afterthought just thrown randomly on the bike. The outer casing looks cheap (its actually built pretty well) so it sticks out on the M like a sore thumb. Potential theft magnet too, as there's no real way to mount it discretly.

There's pics of it installed in my photobucket, if anyone wants to see it on the handlebars. (search graymulligan@photobucket, I can't access it @ work)

Oh, and as much as I'm a tech geek, and enjoy my toys, I never, ever used the screen for anything other than a tach, which I quickly realized I wasn't really using anyway. I loved the idea, but was really dissapointed in the overall experience.

And there's a map for K+N and stock pipes over at the PCII website, iirc.
