Default Power Commander and Iphone

GUYS,

Has anyone heard of being able to run there power commander III usb on a Iphone/Itouch?

I sell automotive parts and have customers who run there fuel management programs for there cars on a PDA so you think you should be able to run it on a iphone or a PDA.

Any thoughts would be great.. Ordering my PCIII next week!

there is no usb port on an iphone so probably not. the pin configuration for the dock port wouldn't match. Plus the software would not be able to install as Apple controls every application through the 'app store'.

that still aint a bad idea, cause you can pick up a pretty decent pda for round a 100 dollars, that would definately be useful for quick easy adjusments of the custom maps

Write the app for the app store. Still, it's unlikely that Apple would allow it. Since the app would touch the in/out interface, you'd probably be infringing on something in the developer license. I, for one, approve of our new iOverlords.

Actually, There are already several programs that are out that do some of these things, and you can by a USB adaptor for the iPhone. There is a program called Rev that is coming out and it will even have a OBD-II connection. So the ability is not to far off.
