Default What kind of stand do you use

Ok. I am getting ready to change my oil on 2008 M50. Any recommendations on what stand to use?

to be honest the M does not require a stand it sits high enough to slide a pan under it and the filter is in a sort of accessible area, do stand the bike up with one hand when the oil starts to drip when it is almost done and hold a cold one in the other, take care to watch the sight glass when filling, again the same one hand procedure and a buddy would help.
A couple of days ago there was a thread about stand. Type it in the SEARCH field in the thread there is a home made one in there under 20$ and

Oh and find Copro's sig he has the M50 Manual in it and download it!

I have a 4000 mile oil change coming up, but I am going to let the dealership handle that one. Then I am going to start doing it myself.

There was just a thread on stands a couple of weeks ago. Try to search for it.

I got the goodwrench stand from wallmart.

2 four foot sections of 2x8 bolted together with a steel pole through them and a chunk of thick flannel stapled to it to protect the paint.

lol. if your pan's the avg ones you get at auto zone, then you might have to use a curb or some sort to raise one end. i used this really really short curb and could still balance the bike on the kick stand.

Pull into the neighbor's yard, remove the drain plug, replace drain plug, fill with oil, and drive away.
