Default new member 1st post and question

Hello all,

I am new, really new, to riding and this forum. I passed the MSF course near the end of August, and for my 68th birthday I got a silver 2007 M-50 Limited. This is my very first bike and I love riding it. My question for all of you M-50er's is can someone tell me why the silver ones are soooo much faster than the others?

the silver's faster cuz it doesn't have the cool factor load like the black does. Which is a constant coefficient of bad @$$.

But I'm glad you all agree that a custom painted M50 is faster than any stock painted M50.

I had mine up to 95 the other day. I hope the wife doesn't this or I will get grounded.

I've had mine over 110. But then again, I have a black one!

And the blurple ones are the best looking. However, we like to let the rest of you "off-color" owners think you are the best. We feel sorry for you so we let you brag.

and Happy belated Birthday!

Ignore the other jealous forum members who apparently picked the wrong color and now are just bitter about it after realizing how slow they are!

Welcome.....and be careful! A SILVER M50 indeed !.....LOL.

I, too, was new to riding ...but at age 53.... I got to feeling like I really had a handle on it all about 1500 miles under my belt...and then I low side crashed it in my comeuppance. Now at 11,000 mi and a lot of road rash later, I ALWAYS wear my gear...especially knee protection. Older knees dont take kindly to embedded asphalt...!

Be safe... dont get (too) cocky !

Annie

They actually seem faster because you see the blurple ones behind you...however, we are on our third lap around!!

welcome

umm.. the flame paint increases drag due to wind resistance...
the solid greys are faster... it bends light better too so it even looks faster

The question of the color / speed of a bike has already been definitively answered... see the first post here...
