Hey all, I've been a lurker for a while now on the forums, I can't resist replying to some of these topics now, so I went and registered. Here's the short version of my story... I just bought my first bike (I rode a little in high school 10 years ago), a 2005 M50 black. It's bone stock with exception of the 6 pack rack, delumped the seat, and I just debaffled it last weekend. I got the bike with 11,000 miles on it and have already made a couple of 300+ mile trips on it (1,200 miles on the bike in 30 days). Hopefully I can help some on here out with technical knowledge, and learn some more while I'm here. I'm an Air Force avionics guy, and have an extensive background with all types of cars, from the V8 carb motors to my last toy, a 1999 Honda Civic Si laying down a hair over 400hp at the wheels. Basically if it can run on fossil fuels, I've probably owned or worked on it...I guess you can call me a recovering power junkie. Anyways, I've been lurking long enough that I feel like I already know most of you, so I'll proceed to throwing my 2 pennies into some of these threads I've been watching the last couple of days. |
