| What do we say is best? I have about 18k miles on my M and I was thinking of changing plugs today. It stumbled on me at idle today. Thanks CS

| The manual says replace every 7500 miles or 24 months. It looks like you are over due. I've been using the stock plugs. You could also try some fuel system cleaner. I was getting some rough idling until a ran a dose of this through the system.

| while you can replace every 7.5k, you can get more expensive, longer lasting spark plugs. Since plugs are so cheap, why not? I got a pair of NGK Iridium plugs for 14 bucks.

| NGK # DPR 7EIX-9. Check to see if your repair kit includes a spark plug wrench. If not get one from the stealer. Deep and thin wall is necessary. NGK.com - Application Search Results |

| Replace the plugs and get the correct spark plug wrench. Without it I can tell you it can turn into 2 hour job that will be laced with profanity. I'm not telling you how I know this but.....Oh by the way 7500 miles and they only cost a couple of bucks each. You can get the plugs at most automotive stores.
