Default first chain clean/lube

So, I did this for the first time today as well. This was way easier/less BS than expected. Kerosene and a couple good rags does a good job FAST. Then I just used a spray lube and made sure to be thorough.

I was semi-dreading the chain drive on my bike. But, this isn't that big a deal. The whole clean and lube only took 30 minutes and just re-lubing will take maybe 10.

I am going to get that DuPont Teflon stuff and give that a shot.

Yup. I think I mentioned once before how funny I thought it was when I first did it. Kerosene is great for that. In fact, I now clean my whole house with it.

the dupont stuff is pretty good so far. on can 2 and about 3k miles of using it and the chain looks good. And in regards to kerosene as a cleaning agent for the house clint? I prefer sea foam.. great on frosted flakes, not so much on fruity pebbles
