Default Blacked Out Concept

Well here they are, I promised a few of you some pictures of my work from last night! Enjoy and give me some feedback on what you think. Forgive the crappy camera, it didnt do the black on the bike justice...sorta looks grey in pics, but is a nice matte black in real life! Also, I do realize the rear light is hanging, I had to wait until this morning to re-mount it once the paint is completely set.

Looking good If you really want to clean it up and black it out, get all the bolt heads too.

Great job man! I love the balance of flat and gloss finishes. The only thing i would do different is switch around the headlight, black bucket, chrome ring.

Lookin good Dude. I am planning on blacking out more stuff on mine. I think the air breather and headlight will be the next on the list. I may do the PAIR cover too, but it may get evicted from the jugs before then hehe.

Looks great...would look even better with the front half of those pipes painted.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I am planning to do the pipes this weekend I think, but I am not sure how much of them I am going to black out. I had thought about leaving a 2-3 inch chrome end on them and blacking out the rest...but im afraid that might mess up the balance I worked so hard to keep last night.

- I went with the rim instead of the housing for added chrome balance on the front.

- I avoided coating the bolts for 1 reason and 1 reason only = Removing the bolts later would just peel the paint off of them.

I'm interesteind seeing the exhaust done that way. How ever you decide to do it though it's your bike, so do it to your satisfaction.

it's good work...
i'm on the fence about the complete look... it feels like something is missing...
blacking out the pipes will probably do that

very nice though...

Your bike looks great. I really like the rim of the headlight being black. Good job.

I'm thinking of doing my headlight like that too (black bucket, chrome ring), but I think it looks good on OCMaesto's bike. What's cool is that you can really make a part of the bike pop by leaving it chrome.

I really like it! Suzuki should do that on the limited. Maybe get some black touch-up and paint the wheel weights. I did that on my sons Ninja, Its all black, and I found those darned weights seemed to jump out against the black. Mind you it never bothered him, he didnt even notice I did it!

gootar,

I paid 5 bucks a can for it at Home Depot. Its actually 1200 degree BBQ paint made by Krylon. It is matte black, and I only picked that up so it would match the pipes when i did them.
