I can only dream also. Hopefully I will do that one day myself.

How long did it take you?

Awesome pix post! A lifetime of memories in a months time. Two questions: Where's the pix from the other states? How'd you keep you bike looking so damn clean in every picture?

What did you do with your highway bars during parts of the trip? Some of the pics show the bike with them and others don't. The most amazing part to me is the fact you did that whole trip on the stock seat!

WOW!!! What an experience that must have been. I almost expected to see some Ewoks in some of those N Cali pics. So my big question is what seat do you have on your bike?

I dropped the bike trying to pull off the road and f'd up the guards. Then wasn't able to get another set until I got to Sturgis. The seat's actually a gel seat.

That forest was one of the most beautiful parts of the trip. The seat is the Gel seat for the bike. It's definitely better then the original and alternating between floorboards (I dreamed for them since day one and finally got them at Sturgis - they're Cobra), highway pegs, and back pegs allowed me to stop only when I needed to fill up.

Those were all the pix. I didn't take a lot of pictures in Midwest because I basically just gunned through them - wanted to get to the West.
If you look closer the windshield and the headlight are completely covered in crap/bugs. The black doesn't really get too dirty. I still haven't washed it...

Those are great pictures, but I noticed something. YOU RODE ALL OF THAT ON A STOCK SEAT????????????! That is a feat of its own.

Great thread. Someday I'll do something like this. Did you do it by yourself?

WTF, how did you manage to pack enough for a month on the road on an M50???

In all serious though, looks like an unforgettable trip, congrats. Gives me something to look forward to in 30 years, with a gold wing.

Nick, a great road trip indeed. Now, since you covered many 1000s of miles, you gotta tell us about how you dealt with the planned/unplanned maintenance of the M50. Looking forward to reading it.

Thanks for sharing the photos!
