Default Shiny Side Down...

I parked the EmFitty on the street out in front of the house last night instead of in the driveway, and sure enough, a car must have clipped the front tire and knocked it over. I discovered it this morning, laying in a puddle of gas that had leaked out of the gas cap (is it supposed to do that?).

Once upright, I notice that the damage is pretty minimal. Aside from the scuff on the front tire where the car clipped it, there's a small scratch on one of the heat guards on one of the pipes and the right handlebar counterweight get scarred and bent. The saddlebags otherwise sacrificed themselves to save the bodywork and the tank didn't make contact with the ground since the handlebars were locked.

Having formerly been a Honda CB550 rider, I was worried that laying on its side all night might make it very hard to restart. Nope. Once upright, it fired right up and a test-drive confirms it has suffered no mechanical damage.

So, other than being really annoyed at the driver who did this, it looks like I got lucky.
