Default Tires: radial vs bias for M50 (Metz ME880)

Hey Guys,

First, I want to introduce myself as this is my first post and hopefully not my last! I've been lurking for a while and decided to post once I got my bike up and going. I wanted my first to be a thread with pictures of my bike, but I haven't taken any yet. I will tonight though.

I'm the proud new owner of an '07 Limited M50 with Cobra Drag pipes and that's about the only non-stock part so far.

Last night, I discovered a very nice nail in the tread of my rear tire and figured I better replace both anyway. I know the stock sizes are 170/80/15 for the rear and 130/90/16 for the front, but it doesn't say anything about bias or radial. I wanted to get some Metz ME880's, but I don't think they make a radial in 170/80 or if I'm even supposed to run radials. I might go up a size and get the 180/70's. Can't decide.

So, my real question is what has the M50 been designed for, the radial or the bias tires?
