Yeah, I did that, got the bolt they said I needed, turns out I didn't need it. Depends which side mount plate you get.

In order for others to avoid the hassle of buying something unnecessary, you best post a link to which mount you bought that doesn't require the bolt

Sorry, I don't know. Try a PM to Mavman.

Hey guys!

Be damned if that don't look exactly like it the side plate I got, but no, that's not it nor where I bought it.

Mine was only the back plate, the link you provided looks like ya get everything you need.....except lights.....if you choose to run some.

The price seems a bit steep, but hey, if ya want it get it and if it works, great--(keep in mind, ya might have to drill the hole bigger), if not......return it.

oh, btw.......here's an OLD thread of mine concerning wiring up the side mount plate

Here's the link to the custom bushing I didn't end up needing. It's a drag, because when I went to purchase the license plate frame, the website piped in with, "You'll also need this" so I bought it. MeanCycles - SUZUKI - M50-MARUAUDER 800 - SIDE MOUNT LICENSE PLATES & BUSHINGS - .SIDE MOUNT LICENSE PLATE CUSTOM BUSHING FOR VOLUSIA / C50 / M50

The frame I bought mounted using the existing bolt, no problem. It's possible that other frames, if the metal is much thicker, may need that bolt, but not mine
