Default Ride w/ protection

Yep, full helmet, pants, jacket, still need to find a decent set of gloves. I don't do it when its going to be 85+ outside- just too hot. But otherwise the gear goes on... guess I have lived long enough to know that I like my skin still attached to me.

In warm weather - jeans,t shirt with denim vest, gloves, half helmet, leather boots.
In cool weather - leather chaps, leather jacket, leather gloves, half helmet, leather boots.

and Yes I have been down twice hard (70+ mph) got the scars to prove it- 36 stitches, severed tendon and torn ligament in right leg + the road rash . denim actually holds up pretty well .
The main thing to remember is YOU BLEED THE BIKE DON'T! if you are going down get as far away from the bike as possible. JMO

I wear an Impact Jacket with an airbag in it as well as all of the traditional pads and always a helmet. Additionally I have some mesh armored leggings that go over my jeans or shorts. Both the jacket and the pants are vented or mesh respectively but have windproof and waterproof liners that sip into them for the winter months. Gloves too. Also mesh.. it never gets too hot or cold in nor-cal to have mesh.

I wear a full face helmet and a Cortech jacket all the time. The last few days here I believe I have lost some water weight.

I need to get some gloves (any suggestions)

Time for you to chew my ass now. I have gotten into the bad habit of twice a week taking my oldest son (14) to soccer practice on my M50. He wears a helmet and so do I but we both only wear a t-shirt and shorts. I jog while he is at practice.

I need to get out of this habit and drive the cage for the 10 mile trek to soccer practice.

Thanks. Airbag jackets use is contraversial but valentino rossi is getting one this year so that will all change.

Personally I wanted to get this silver and black jacket(not the suzuki one) that would have realy matched my bike but part of the deal with the wifey that allowed me to get this bike was to get the airbag. Luckily turned out not to look bad and to be. Very comfy except in the hottest of weather.

Ah, the deals some of us have to make with our wives or significant others to get on a bike... I almost had to have a witnessed agreement signed in my own blood... Well, perhaps not quite..
Oh.. my gear... nothing fancy here, just an Onix armored jacket, full face helmet, boots and gloves. Would like to get decent pants, any suggestions on a good pair of pants that is wind and water proof? I plan on riding til the snow flies, so I have to get something! (yeah, that was part of the agreement...works for me!)

Shoei X-11 helmet all the time. Shield up 85% of the time with sun glasses.

Leather jacket for under say ~65F (maybe 3 months) otherwise I have a kevlar shirt from draggin jeans that I wear over a dri-fit shirt or rash guard (used for surfing) during the 9+ months of summer we have in Houston. Actually keeps me cool. I know it will only protect the road rash but the leather and even my old mesh jacket with armour is too much for the heat and humidity of sitting at lights.

I wear nothing but jeans although the first and only time I wore khaki's, dress shirt, and dress shoes for work was the only time that I tested my gear or lack of although I was able to walk away with only some road rash, nasty bruises, and some sore muscles after a 45 mph spill. I was lucky!!! ( I will spare you the pictures )

My biggest problem now is that I still ride without my gloves most of the time due to the heat and the sensitivity of knowing what you are feeling. And every once in a while I wear tennis shoes instead of over-the-ankle boots.

No rain gear therefore I don't ride in it. Anyway the streets here have so much oils on them, I wouldn't want to trust the tires that much when I have seen what happens to 4-wheel cages when it just starts raining.

So in conclusion, I am one of those guys who struggles between safety and riding comfort. Hopefully I have found a happy medium and never have to test it out.

I wear a full face helmet, jeans, boots and armored jacket but it sure gets hot when I'm not in motion. It seems the vents on the chest and back don't do squat.

I have the tourmaster air mesh. They are mesh and have 2 liners, rain/wind - but gets a little hot in the warm weather, and thermal for the cold times. Got them at New Enough. Great people great prices!

I wear a Scorpion jacket with armor, full face HJC, jeans, and my favorite pair of vans I know I should wear boots, but I love my vans. The jacket gets a little warm, but it breathes really well at speed, just not too comfy at stoplights.

I wear the Scorpion Cool Rod (armored mesh), Exo-1000 full face, AlpineStars Alloy gloves and Xelements engineer boots with jeans/bdu's. I know I have nothing on the legs, but for the commute, thats about all I find practical. I am, however guilty of blasting up to the store or other short trips in goggle/shades and a leather vest.

Default Riding gear

I ride with a full face helmet, and my riding jacket is a tour master, with zip outs showing mesh underneath. I love the jacket, during the summer, I usually just ride with the mesh. When I go on long rides, I like to wear my riding pants, makes me feel safer, but its tough in the summer - it gets hot. I wear shorts underneath the pants, but its still warm. Just riding to work and short trips, I hardly ever wear the pants, but I always wear my jacket.

For work, I have matching Tourmaster jacket and pants that are the mesh style with the 2 removable liners. Great for all temps. I wear shorts and a t-shirt underneath year round, adding or removing the liners as needed. Armor in the elbows and knees, padding for the hips and back. For general riding I swap out the pants (weather permitting) with a set of Cortech heavy denims that have knee armor and also have leather linings sewn into the knees and seat. Full face helmet and boots all the time.

i ride in an airbase so according to the reg, helmet, jacket, full fingered gloves, pants, and riding boots are required. Also, at night you need a reflective vest. which is pretty g4y. especially if you've got a akuma helmet with lights on it =)
