Also, since it has fused to the metal, it's not possible to pull it out to put the coupling on? I could maybe take some of the leftover 2" and use some of the PVC glue to work as a coupling and extend it in the exhaust?

Also, mine is only a 2006, and I just got it. You must have a 2008, because I don't see a tach on mine, thus not sure where 4500 rmp is? Can you recommend an after market exhaust, or send some audio of what your bike sounds like at 4500rpm, and I will try and match the pitch on mine? Finally, being new to riding, I'm not very comfortable riding it aggresively at those speeds. If I just rode if for an hour @ 30 - 45mph, do you think that it would suffice?

Please don't tell me you are seriously going to do this. This thread has to be a joke, I'm outta here too....

Folks, believe what you want, I'm telling you what worked for me like everyone else on here- this entire forum is for stuff that isn't in the owner's manual. If you don't like my fix, go ahead and ask your dealer about the 3" hole saw and the PVC- I'm sure they'll be happy to sell you a $800 aftermarket exhaust. The key to my fix is the 1 1/2" PVC forming to the exhaust- 07M50Limited's wife should know what 1 1/2" looks like [insert retarded emoticon here].

Where the hell is DJ at to solve all of this?? It clearly states not to leave the PVC in the exhaust. And there have been how many posts to say not to leave the PVC in....yet they're having their own conversation around these posts instead...

I don't get it....this is hilarious....

I'd kinda like a bag of popcorn and a lawn chair at the bottom of this guys driveway

First, I don't think bringing someone's family members into this, especially in an insulting way, is right at all. Suki, your best bet is to wait and PM DJ and ask him to specify how the fibrosleeve should be done, it was his creation and he could be considered the expert. As for leaving pvc pipe in the exhaust I'm with everyone else, it shouldn't be. A mistake was made, but so what we've all done it, don't compound your issues. I'm out of this one now too.

We all understand that you are stating what you did to your bike. That fact of the matter is that leaving PVC in your exhaust pipe is pretty much senseless.

BTW, the cheapshot at 07M50 was not needed. Hopefully a moderator will be along shortly to shot all this nonsense down.

please do

maybe you could get rid of this thread too, we wouldn't want someone to read this and actually think that nonsense would work...

Hey Son-of-a-low-rolla,

Show us a digital photo of the melted pipe, or you're history. You have one hour.

Since it has not been said, and I think that this is the only way to redeem this thread...

And if you don't have pictures to post, then I'll have to run one up the flag pole

Default Apology

Folks,

I apologize for my earlier comment; my emotions got the best of me. For the record, the comment was aimed at 07M50Limited himself, not his wife. I have no beef with her.

And I have no beef with you, I just dont belive the PVC dont melt, the temp's in the pipe are way over 176F, the outside can reach that.

4 posts, you shouldn't have a beef with anyone. I vote ban.

Anyone not at work that can see the pic? I know my place blocks most images so i'm not surprised I can't see it.
