| OK guys, the girlfriend has decided she really likes the looks and style of the M50. From what I hear its a pretty nice bike and most people that get it really love it. The thing is she needs a little more power then the 50ci motor this guy comes with, atleast I assume she does. She is on a zzr600 right now that does pretty good but she wants to get into a cruiser since we are starting to take longer rides and overnighters and such. Is there a C90 with that style fenders (she loves the rear fender the most) or has anyone modded the C90 to look similer to the M50. Thanks for any input on this. |

| OOOh thanks a bunch Snafu, I guess it shows Im not too knowledgable about the suzuki's. That looks like it will fit the ticket. Is this guy still in production or is it a older model. Looks good.

| older model... it was the VZ1600 (called the Marauder in 2004) and in 2005 called the M95... looks like they bailed on the 1600cc and went to the 1500cc (C90) and the 1800cc (m109) the m95 is better looking than both the c90 and m109 imho just a question... why do you need more power for cruising? just curious...

| Because its fun to be able to get on it everyonce in a while. I mean sure were not hawling around at 100mph but when you wanna get around someone or having a little fun getting up to speed its nice to have some power under ya. My bike does pretty good and has alot of power (roadliner) and I dont want her feeling like she cant atleast keep up with me if ya know what I mean. I wish they would have kept this bike or atleast offered the C90 in a M90 style. AH well. Have to keep poking around and see if one pops up for sale somewhere if she's interested. |

| We may try to get a couple test rides in tomorrow or this weekend if possible. Who knows maybe she will like the 800 but I have a sneaking suspicion she wont be happy with what its got. We will see though.

| i'd say try it... it's a surprising little bike and don't be afraid to put the throttle on hard and rev it... she likes it 100-110 is pretty much top end for the bike, depending which way the wind is blowing... longest ride i've ever taken was 1000km in a day with the stock seat (took about 24 hours) and it killed me and my butt i took another day trip to NY state and vermont which was 767 km and too about 16 hours (many stops) and i could have ridden another 8 hours no problem (better seat) all in all, it's a 'fun' bike let us know what she thinks... better yet, get her on here!

About the M95, the Kawasaki Mean Steak is the same bike. Suzuki and Kawasaki had an agreement where they would rebrand some of each other's bikes. Suzuki got the M95 from the Mean Streak and Kawasaki got the KLX400 from the DRZ400, etc. If she wants the bobtail style fender (what the M50 and M95 have), there are a few other models that have that style such as the V-Star 1100 Custom. The ZZR600 is supposed to be somewhat a "sport-touring" bike. If your girlfriend isn't comfortable on it for long distances, then a new bike may be in order, but if she is happy on the ZZR for long distance and there is no other reason to get a cruiser, she should keep the ZZR.

Dont get me wrong she likes the bike, she has it jetted and a custom exhaust and it is a pretty fast bike, but she cant move her legs to any other positions on long rides which is the biggest deal. Even though we stop often her knees start hurting. Otherwise she would keep her bike as she does like it other then that. As far as the power. Its not my idea, I could care less what she rides as long as she is happy riding it. However I do know her mostly and know what she likes and she likes to have a little bit of resources available if you know what I mean. Same reason she got the grand prix with the little supercharger in it. Allthough good for making sure its not the alter ego boyfreind thing trying to throw someone ona bike thats too much for them. That stuff drives me crazy when you see these kids on there first bike (600 crotch rocket lol) and they think its a beginner bike. Im 245lbs and her 600 still could get me in some seriouse trouble if Im too twisty lol. I think we will try the M50 and the vstar 1100 and see what she thinks of both and go from there. Hopefully we can swindle a few test rides. Thanks guys. | |

| If there is a peg lowering option for the ZZR, that might be enough to keep her knees from being sore. On the Marauder, I switch to the passenger pegs to keep my back from getting stiff. There is definitely a tradeoff in riding positions. A cruiser will put strain on your back and a sport bike will put the strain on your thighs and knees. I rode a standard bike, Honda CM400, for a summer, and I would switch to the passenger pegs to change the riding position for a few miles.

| Yeah, Mine will go past 110 a well, but the speedo is about 10% over what the actual speed is. So at 110 you are going about 99. So I would say 100-110 is pretty good estimation.
