I hit an indicated 120, just seeing how high it would go. This 800cc bike does have enough power. With that said, I rarely go over 70. It's fun accelerating to the speed limit, you know getting ahead of the crowd.

On the flipside, if she's used to the ZZR's acceleration at wide-open, she might be disappointed by the M50. One of my regular riding buddies rides a ZZR, and it will definitely take off faster than a M50 when you get it revved up.

About the M95, the Kawasaki Mean Steak is the same bike. Suzuki and Kawasaki had an agreement where they would rebrand some of each other's bikes. Suzuki got the M95 from the Mean Streak and Kawasaki got the KLX400 from the DRZ400, etc.

If she wants the bobtail style fender (what the M50 and M95 have), there are a few other models that have that style such as the V-Star 1100 Custom.

The ZZR600 is supposed to be somewhat a "sport-touring" bike. If your girlfriend isn't comfortable on it for long distances, then a new bike may be in order, but if she is happy on the ZZR for long distance and there is no other reason to get a cruiser, she should keep the ZZR.
Stay away from the VSTAR 1100 that was my last bike and is much slower and much lower MPG also it is carburated and had significant trouble going through the mountains.

Another idea for her, Hyosung GV650.

Apparently it has 79rwhp available.

Which is quite a bit more than the M50's 45rwhp.
