decals/paint on my intake cover - Motorcycle-Journal Forums

I have a thunder air intake w/ the smooth/round cover.
A few months ago I was kinda sick of the chrome so I rattle canned it black with a little Japanese symbol on it. I got sick of that so I decided to go with a waterslide decal and some clear.

I just used some silver paint I had and used that as the base layer after removing the previous paint. Then I applied the waterslide decals that I printed from my computer and then cleared it with some krylon acrylic clear coat. It looks pretty good even close up. Of course the area around the screw is going to get messed up a bit and it has already started. I may hit it with some engine enamel clear coat that i have laying around for even more layers. When I started the first layer of clear the paint underneath seemed to have wrinkled but I actually liked the way the wrinkle came out. and the overall texture is smooth.
