VTBME, the headlight has the 2 screws and a slight lip that fits over a small protrusion on the top edge of the light bucket. Pull the bottom away a bit and lift the light upwards and all will be revealed. Just a slight rocking motion will help. Really a simple design you won't forget or mess up once you have done it once.

Thanks on the paint complements.. Darn stuff ran me 125 bucks its not a single shot color.. its a base cost of silver then a candy blue color.. real hard to match or so he told me but we made it work.. now to get them finished and then buffed out for more shine..

Today I rented another truck to get my bike out of the shop it was in ,and into an authorized Suzuki dealer.
I'm going to pay 2x the price, but I'll feel much better about it.
I'll be another 30 days without my M.
Got my eyes on a rashed FZR for cheap.

Well said Water Warrior, well said. The same goes for wielding a sword a with an iron grip.

I haven't ridden as fast on my M50 as some riders, but I've been buffeted with some pretty good side winds at 80-85mph. Being relaxed and not fighting the bike goes a long way to maintaining in control (think of aikido and finessing the momentum that your presented with).

Yeah, I've had mine over 70 more than a few times and though I get helmet buffeting and wind blasting into my chest (no windshield), the bike feels solid. Of course our roads in VA are generally well maintained so that probably makes a difference.

Helmet buffeting can be a real curse to some riders. Vstroms are very famous for rattling your eyeballs out. I did manage to reduce the Vstrom buffeting a fair bit but my last helmet has all but eliminated it. No helmet vibs until very high speeds which I don't usually care to entertain for long. I think I just got lucky with the helmet, it is a HJC CL MAX. Liking the flip face feature.

Changed my oil. Went with the Mobile 1 4T racing synthetic oil. Put Amsoil Severe Gear 75/90 in the rear. Was a little overdue to change the oil :0 Hope to put my tail light blinker controller on this week and install my Light Bar that I bought last year and never put on!

I think the freight costs might be a bit expensive, though.

There must be plenty more wrecks in the U.S.

Changed the striping on the M50 from yellow to white. OZChris was kind enough to cut them for me and send them all the way from Aussie land for a nominal fee of course Thanks ChriS!!!!!!!

Also did white rim striping. Not sure if I like them yet though. Any thoughts - keep the white rim striping or take off?

And I added one last pic for giggles

This is what this guy told me for a price on that engine.

Hi, we are located in Silverwater NSW, that bike had only travelled 1400kms, price on a bare motor $3000,
let me know if you have an exchange or if you need a more complete motor

regards

Bruce

Keep the wheel stripes, they give the bike an added touch that highlight the wheels without going overboard. Overall very nice appearance.
