I haven't ridden or even opened up the door to the trailer in at least 1 1/2 weeks.

Looks quite similar to the M90/M109 to me too.

Personally, I'm thinking the Vegas 8-Ball is the meanest lookin' one.

Yeah sometimes accidents are unavoidable. Me and blackholekelley where riding this weekend and this sportbiker pulled up with his girlfriend on the back wearing shorts and flipflops on the back. I just shook my head. I'd never allow my wife or girlfriend to ride like that. No matter how hot it is I always wear pants and my big arse combat riding boots.

You'll ride again. Stuff happens. You can't let it get the better of you.

MXEDIT - sooo glad you're only in the minor injury camp. Godspeed!

As for my bike...still waiting for a break in the weather to install new bars. Naturally it begins thunder storming 10 mins after I arrive home for work EVERY DAY FOR THE PAST WEEK...Except of course for yesterday afternoon which turned out to be beautiful...because I had late afternoon and early evening meetings, so of course there was great weather which ultimately did me no good.

And yes, the same weather pattern is predicted for another 7 days!

Augh! I miss having a garage!

Very Nice!

Installed Mustang Fender Bib...it's kinda krinkled near the seat but is decent. Maybe get a solo rack to install over it so I can mount my tail bag and Grantour bag when needed.

Adjusted suspension from 3 to 1...rain moving in again, so maybe I'll get to test it tomorrow. Spanner wrench adapter from cycle gear worked like a charm - it snaps onto a 3/8 socket.

Also reinstalled seat. Took it to a local trim shop to have it shaved down. I think he also put a couple of gel inserts in it. Wow...did it lower me! I'd say at least an inch. Definitely a more scooped out feeling and I am more IN the saddle vs ON the saddle...really kinda feels like a saddle. I could flat foot before but this gives me more leverage. My knees are definitely more bent when on the pegs too. I actually prefer the foot position pre-seat mod, but this works. Guy who did the work as had his seats on several bikes that have been in Vtwin mag...I think one of his is on the cover of the current issue.

Did a 400 km. daytrip up around the Interior/Cariboo of B.C. The weather was pretty crazy...reaching a high of 42 C (105 F) on the last two hours of the ride...I now have one of the best farmer tans around...

Yeah, all in all, after a week, I'm well on my way to being alright. If I had been wearing my jacket, my bike would have been thrashed, but I would have had a sprained thumb to show for the whole thing. I hope to ride again, but after this, it'll take awhile before I can afford a new bike, unfortunately.

Default Swapped out handlebars

I finally got the stock bars swapped out with Flanders Super-Glide #650-08231. (I should say, my fine neighbor...I mostly held things and brought the beer).

More pullback and not quite as wide. Wow - this is more like it! I am finally able to sit upright and even lean back a bit.

We left the Jeff/Ken spacers on for now and re-routed all the cables behind the triple tree (except speedo of course). Had to remove the mirrors and headlight so the rest of the assemblies would fit through. Oh - and the wire manager is gone. Front looks a lot cleaner now.

I think the cables are okay - throttle side might be a little tight. We didn't pull any slack from anywhere - just went with what we got from re-routing.

Arm position might be a bit scrunched on full lock parking lot turns. That and the slight tightness of throttle cables can probably be fixed by removing spacers. I figure I'll ride with them on for a bit before deciding...was real tempting to just pull them off while everything else was disconnected, but the job was taking long enough, and I didn't want to add one more thing since my neighbor was so great to help me.

Let's see if attaching pix works (all I had was cell phone, so I don't know how these will look)...Took a little test drive since there was finally a break in the rain.

Aesthetically? Or you think they're too tight?
