Added rear fender bra, carbon stripe up tank to match fender...seriously considering the black 'golf club' style mirrors and some show chrome grips...does it ever end?

Well, what I did on Friday morning was lay her down, because a truck in front of me signalled right, then proceeded to turn left right in front of me. The bike is totalled, front wheel broke into a few pieces, forks and frame bent, the whole left side is trashed. Me, road rash on my left arm and torso, and a fractured right thumb. The M50 is no more, and there won't be a replacement for a little while. I've gotten so much out of being a part of this forum, learned so much and done so many mods to my bike that were great, and affordable. I really appreciate you guys, it's been fun.

Hate to hear about the bike but the most important thing is that you walked away from it.

First of all glad your still alive and no major injuries, that's great! Sorry to hear about your bike, that really sucks for sure.

Question: When you thought he was turning right (because his right side signal was on) did you try to pass him on the left before he started his turn? Just curious because it might be a good lesson to everybody else to just go ahead and wait and let the vehicle complete it's turn before proceeding. I only bring this up because alot of riders including myself might have done exactly what you did as well. On a motorcycle unfortunately you can't "assume" anything even if it appears to be obvious and it's up to us to be the better more patient rider than all the cagers. And sometimes even being vigilant accidents happens.

I really hope your ok!!!!!

No, I was just slowing down, waiting for him to turn so I could continue. I was in the left part of the lane, to give myself room in case he stopped short. I wasn't passing him or planning on passing him. Since I was in the left part of the lane, I didn't have enough room to swerve right and avoid him when he turned left in front of me. I'm actually pretty ok, considering. Road rash on the left side and a sprained/fractured thumb on the right. One thing I'll say, I'm glad I was wearing ankle high boots. If I had been wearing sneakers, they would have been off. As it was, the laces on my boots were popped off and the sides of the boots were scraped off as well. Otherwise, you could add my feeet to the list of injuries. Thanks for all of your kind words. If I can convince my wife, I'll be back riding someday.
