Nice custom job vagabond. I may just have to use your idea. If I do, you'll get credit for it.

Thanks for letting us in on it.

I will. Because of my schedule and my kids being off from school I won't get a chance to ride until this weekend. I'm actually curious myself if I can notice any additional power or torque. I'll let you know.

Somehow I skipped by this post on accident. Nice job!

I wouldn't mind a Tach. in that spot instead on my bike. However I'd have to take my Pop-Top off. Hmmmmmmmmmm.

Picked up a set of throw over saddle bags, quite pleased with them. Got a couple of blue tooth enabled helmets too, getting ready for a trip around the Cabot Trail in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia next week. Can't wait!

I got my Saddlemen profiler in and put it on. Feels very comfy, but I was only able to take it for a test ride down the block.

The profiler was the cheapest aftermarket seat I was able to find BTW.

Here are some comparison pics for those who are interested:

Stocker vs Saddlemen Profiler

Ive been lazy but I'm going to try to take the seat off and check fuses to see if maybe I can get the clock issue straight. The grill is calling my name tonight so it might be tomorrow.

Cardude, this is an awesome set of shots! It's nice to actually get to see the differences between the stocker and aftermarket seats up close. You can totally tell the profile brings you down and forward and how it cups more than braces you on the seat. Does anyone else have pics like this?

BTW - I'd be interested to know how a passenger rates your profiler too.

i havent taken a passenger yet on the profiler but i had my dad pretend to be the driver and i hopped on the back. As much as this seat is twice as good for the driver, i think it's twice as bad for the passenger. The passenger area is not nearly as wide and feels like it goes into your but lol.

And yes it does push you forward. Much easier to stand up over speedbumps now. **considering forward controls**

PS i started a new "aftermarket seat pic" thread. Thanks atweible

Smile RISERS Installed!

I successfully installed the risers. Definitely get an extra set of helping hands, and i used a heat gun to loosen the studs. It makes for a much nicer riding posture fore sure!

Just put my home made bones on and lowered it 3 inches. Took it for a cruise and doesnt scrape too bad. Not much worse than it scraped before. Thanks for the directions that someone had on here, they were perfect!

Rode it today and didn't hardly notice much difference. Much to do about nothing.

Finally got around to taking the M50 badges and suzuki rear fender decal off the bike. Looks much cleaner now without them. Still debating taking off the tank emblems, but I kinda like them a little more than id like not having them.

Remember if your butterflies are already opening 100% you wont gain anything ,and in fact will lose power by bending the throttle stop ,because the butterflies are going past vertical, and closing up the other direction.

I got a set of saddlebags and OEM brackets earlier this week, and just got a chance to put it all on.

As much as I like the bags, I'm having some frustrations with Saddlemen right now, though. First off, it was supposed to come with padlocks, which it did not. Then, today, after a half mile test ride, I get off my bike to find that one of the twist locks had mysteriously broken off at it's pivot point. A half mile of riding and it's already falling apart? WTF?

Saddlemen was already kind enough to send out a set of the missing padlocks, and I'm hoping they'll be as accomodating about the twist lock. I'm really hoping that I just got a lemon.

Visited two of the vineyards east of Charlotte yesterday (Dennis Vineyards & Uwharrie Vineyards.) Had dinner with some friends. On my way home passed a lady on a bright yellow backwards trike. Pretty cool. Yesterday was the first time that I REALLY enjoyed riding. Its been fun before, still learning and getting used to the bike, but yesterday I was literally yelling inside the helmet b/c I was havin such a good time.

Then today I rode to the dealer but they were closed when I got there (website said they were open on Sunday.) Looked at some trucks at the Dodge dealer next door and stopped to HD on the way home since I have to pass it. Parked right up front in between all the Harleys. Looked at the VRod Muscle, a lot, very nice bike. I have to give it to them on customer service, three reps came up, introduced themselves and asked if I needed help. Checked the fuses to see if maybe that would explain the clock losing time issue. All tight and the clock is still off, oh well.

And managed to get the oil changed in my truck too.

Can-Am Spyder, I believe.

Rode to work this morning...which also happens to be my church. Man was it steamy when I came out at 10:30. Glad I went to the early service.

Was gonna take the bike up to a little shin-dig friend reunion at Lake Norman, but I like to wear the gear and it's too flippin' HOT!
